Titanium Grade 9/3.7195

Titanium Grade 9 (Ti-3-2.5) is sometimes referred to as 'half 6-4'.This grade titanium with 3% aluminium and 2.5% vanadium offers 20 to 50%  higher strength than the commercially pure titanium grades, but is more formable and weldable than Titanium Grade 5/Ti-6Al-4V. Grade 9 Titanium can be used in higher temperatures than commercially pure titanium grades 1-4, and it has excellent corrosion resistance. This grade offers good ductility and toughness, it is more easily formable and malleable in cold temperatures. Generally, Titanium Grade 9 is used in industrial, aerospace and sporting equipments.
